Boys Sports

Jarrett Ferman - Alma Wresling - Click to vote for Jarrett

Junior 135-pound wrestler helped lead the Panthers to a team district title and a team regional crown en route the Division 3 team finals. League champ also won individual district and regional titles. Earned All-State honors via third-place finish at finals. Ferman went 38-4 on the season while Alma went 33-7 in dual meets.

Connor Emery - Breckenridge Bowling - Click to vote for Connor

Senior captain led the Huskies to the state finals for a second-straight season in 2019. Emery also finished fifth individually in regionals advance to the individual finals. Helped the Huskies to a record of 11-5-2 and to district and regional team crowns. Averages a 185 game for the season, bumped averaged 192 in February. Finished 33rd in qualifying block in D4 state finals.

Junior had a huge month of February for the Comets, who had their best season in years going 11-11 and nearly upset fifth-ranked Big Rapids Crossroads in districts.  Arnold averaged 19.4 points, seven rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in February and shot 50-percent from the floor and 45-percent from downtown. Had 31 points, eight rebounds and three assists in comeback win over Ashley where Comets overcame an 18-point deficit. Comets also won first district game in six years in 2019.   

Girls Sports

Jaden Berthume, Coleman – Basketball - Congratulations to the February 2019 Winner! - Senior guard became the first player in program history to score 1,000 career points via a 25-point performance in a win over Breckenridge on Feb. 19. The future Northwood softball player averages 21 points per game, five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Shoots 43-percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
